Program Description

The University
Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance is London’s International Drama School. One of the top theater and performance schools in the United Kingdom, Rose Bruford College offers 15 different vocational and professional degrees in acting, performance, design, management, and technical arts. The university currently hosts students from over 25 different countries, and they train students to see the world stage as their future workplace. The university produces around 75 productions a year, which students are able to participate in to enhance their learning experience.

The Surrounding Area
Located in the southwest corner of London, the university is a convenient starting point for many excursions. Day trips are available to locations such as Oxford, Bath and Stratford-Upon-Avon. Longer adventures to Ireland, Scotland and Wales are also popular among students, as are sites in many parts of continental Europe which are easily accessible via air, ferry or train.

Student Life
Rose Bruford College is an exciting and vibrant place to study and students from all programmes work closely together, replicating the processes of a professional theatre company to make ensembles and to produce fully mounted productions. Good staff/student ratios and small class sizes (plus frequent one-on-one tutorials) mean that students get to know their tutors and peers and benefit from regular support and guidance in academic and personal matters. As well as attending our own productions on campus, students are encouraged to regularly attend shows and performances in London’s West End and at fringe venues throughout the city. London also provides students with a wide range of research libraries, collections and resources to support their academic work. There are also plenty of local theatres, galleries and open spaces for you to enjoy in the surrounding area.
