UNCW Internships in Ireland

Program Description

Program Overview
Spend your summer participating in an international internship in Ireland’s capital city. While gaining valuable résumé building experience, students can explore Dublin’s rich music traditions, history, and Irish culture. Wander the cobbled streets and discover this small capital with a huge reputation.

The Surrounding Area
UNCW Internships in Ireland is located in Dublin, a charming, coastal capital city located at the mouth of the River Liffey. Students can easily walk around the city center, visit museums, or explore the traditional music venues. Local trains and buses provide convenient opportunities for travel to Cliffs of Moher, Blarney Castle, Galway, Belfast, The Giant’s Causeway and sites beyond. Themed tours (i.e. Game of Thrones, Ghost Bus Tours, and Irish Immigration) are also available from Dublin.

Student Life
All students are provided with a 3 day workplace and culture orientation upon arrival. During this fun and educational orientation, interns will have the opportunity to build relationships with other participants, discover the local culture, learn about the host country work environment, attend career-related workshops, and participate in local cultural activities. Participants are offered social and cultural activities, including outings to movies, concerts, cultural tours, theater performances, outdoor activities, museums, and more. All entrance fees are covered by the program fee.
