Full Time Internship | Sydney

An internship in Australia through AIFS Abroad is guaranteed to be an experience unlike any other. With a booming tourism industry and plenty to explore Sydney is perfect for any intern. Sydney is home to Australia’s financial and economic center and has plenty of great full-time internship opportunities. Among our most popular placement fields are business, real estate, arts, banking, education, politics, and law.

Come experience Australia’s open, friendly business culture while gaining professional experience and global connections. Sydney is considered one of the most pleasant and livable cities in the entire world; with over 300 days of sunshine each year and many iconic landmarks to visit, including the Sydney Opera house and great barrier reef, there will always be something new to experience. During your program with AIFS Abroad, you’ll have everything you need to have a life-changing adventure (and invaluable work experience!) while completing an Internship in Sydney.

City of Sydney

With its excellent beaches and year-round mild weather, Sydney is the perfect place to try surfing, sailing, stand up paddle boarding, and other aquatic activities.

Sydney is the most populous city in Australia with over 4.6 million inhabitants with approximately 28% of the population was born elsewhere. Sydney is a consistently high-ranking world city for quality of life.

The City of Sydney introduced a Sustainable Sydney 2030 program, with various targets planned and a guide on how to reduce energy in homes and offices by 30%. The city also has an “urban forest growth strategy” which aims to increase the tree coverage in the city by planting trees and vegetation to provide cleaner air and create moisture during hot weather, thus lowering city temperatures.

What Makes AIFS Abroad different?

Career Readiness

Professional development is at the foundation of our preparation for participants' time abroad. We utilize the Clifton Strengths assessment as a tool to help all participants understand themselves better, provide a vocabulary around their natural talents, and deepen the impact of their experience abroad.

Access, Inclusion, Diversity, & Equity (AIDE)

As an organization we are committed to ensuring all identities are able to thrive in an inclusive global educational environment. Everyone has a complex identity, and the different aspects of your identity are important when deciding on a program and location. Review our Social Identity Pages to assist you when selecting a program that best fits your interests and needs.
Student Resources

We are the first education abroad provider to sign on with the Climate Action Network for International Educators (CANIE). Focused on making education abroad carbon neutral, we include carbon offsets for all participants' return flights, environmental education connecting students on the ground to environmental projects, and make our own business practices more sustainable.
