Solution Focused Honors

Program Description

Program Overview
This course is designed for Honors students interested in expanding their knowledge regarding solution-focused (SF) practices.This course will provide students an applied learning experience in which they will engage in a SF practice training The training will focus on the application of SF practice in the UK. This experience will enhance students’ understanding of the SF model and the international context in which it is applied.

Students will live and engage in solution-focused practice training in London. London is rich in history dating back to the Roman times—students will witness the development of the city from St. Paul’s Cathedral, to Big Ben, to The Shard. While in London, students will have a chance to explore the thriving local culture. 


  • Degree-seeking student
  • Good judicial standing
  • 2.5+ GPA at time of application
  • Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of participation
  • Must be a student in UNCW's Honors College
