The University
UNCW in Barcelona program, students will study at either Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) or Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB) based on your course of study.

Dating back over 2,000 years, Barcelona is one of the world's oldest cities and is a rich historical center. Students will have the chance to explore a myriad of cultures from the Gothic Quarter and the Picasso Museum to world class beaches. Trek up to the Magical Montjuiic and see why Barcelona was the first city to win the RIBA Gold Medal for its world famous architecture. From trying fresh, local seafood to exploring the Enchanting El Raval, Barcelona will introduce you to an infinite amount of new experiences.

The UNCW in Barcelona program offers its cosmopolitan lifestyle, with many activities ranging from culture to cafes to sports and delicious food in Barcelona’s famed restaurants.

Courses include International Business, Political Science, Art and Design, Biology,and more! At the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB), you can take classes in art and design while drawing inspiration from the amazing sights in Barcelona. Or you can immerse yourself in the Spanish language at Universitat Pompeo Fabra (UPF) while taking classes in international business or a variety of the humanities,the choices are endless!
Students in Barcelona will live in a Homestay. This allows you to actually live with a local family, to sit with them at dinner, to speak Spanish regularly outside the classroom setting and truly learn what it feels like to be a member of the community.

Financial Aid and Scholarships
Federal and state financial aid may be applied towards this program. Even if you are normally ineligible for financial aid, you should submit a financial aid application (FAFSA). You may find that you are eligible for additional funding.
